December is typically the time of year we start to see the GR Air Force 1 options transition from Low to High cuts, with the latter prevailing as a late-Fall-through-Winter favorite. Now, after having just appeared in a fresh new winterized GORE-TEX take, the silhouette returns to its roots in the most basic of hues — black and white.
All-white sole units, insoles, and tongue tags aside, the pairs arrive as a perfect inversion of each other. Uppers of heavily-tumbled leather reach from the toe to tail, hitting the paneling, contrast-colored Swooshes, overlays, and ankle strap. The latter is finished with a central embroidered Swoosh, while classic Nike Air emblems hit the rear. Tongues arrive in tonal nylons, while liners — both tongue and sock — arrive inverted to the color of the upper. Completing the design are the aforementioned consistencies; all-white sole units, black insoles, and black tongue tags.
