Nike has put the ball in your court when it comes to styling your kicks. Though customization has long been an aspect of wider sneaker culture, only recently have brands jumped on the bandwagon with options that enable the wearer to tweak, tear, color or wear-away the sneaker to their liking. The earliest (and easiest) forms of this has always been Velcro, with interchangeable tongue tags or Checks being the primary movers.
This time, though, Nike is giving you the option to stick-on or rip-off entire panels in addition to the aforementioned, with this upcoming Air Force 1 “Velcro” enabling you to remove or add toe boxes, mid panels, quarters, Swooshes, heel overlays and tongue tags. The black velcro base enables the customization of the white overlays to really pop, and its all the mere striking sitting in between crisp white eyelets and sole units.
